US Secretary wishes Happy New Year

KATHMANDU, APR 12 - Issuing a press statement on Friday, United States Secretary of State John Kerry wished Happy New Year 2070 to all the Nepali people.

"On behalf of President Obama and the American people, I offer the people of Nepal my warmest wishes for a joyful New Year.," Kerry said.

The statement further reads, " As Nepal’s steadfast friend, the United States hopes that the coming year will see successful elections and the full completion of a new constitution, keeping your country on the path of prosperity and progress."

Kerry also writes "Naya Barshako Shubha-Kamana!" at the end of the statement.
